What we collect
Nothing. Neither Vox Dictum nor ChargeSort collects personal data, usage analytics, crash reports, telemetry, or any other information from your device. Neither app contains analytics frameworks, tracking pixels, or third-party SDKs that collect data.
What stays on your device
Everything personal. Your content and settings — recordings, transcripts and speaker names in Vox Dictum; your vehicle, battery level, memberships and preferences in ChargeSort — are stored locally on your device, within each app's sandbox. This information is never uploaded to Cobalt InFX or shared with anyone.
Network activity — and the one thing no app can avoid
Our apps connect to the internet for specific, limited purposes:
- Vox Dictum downloads its AI models on first use, and Apple verifies your subscription. Aside from that, it has no network activity — your recordings, transcripts and summaries never leave your Mac.
- ChargeSort downloads public charging data (prices, locations, availability) from Cobalt InFX's own service so it can show accurate results, and Apple verifies your subscription. ChargeSort also uses Apple's MapKit to draw the map and to estimate drive times and routes for journey planning, which involves Apple; and when you choose to navigate, it opens your chosen maps app — Apple Maps or Google Maps — with your destination. Aside from these map and navigation functions and Apple's subscription check, ChargeSort communicates only with Cobalt InFX's own service, and never sends your car, battery level, memberships or preferences to anyone.
Any app that makes a network request exposes an IP address and the address of the thing it requests — that is how the internet works, and no app can avoid it. We do not log, retain, or link your IP address to you.
Location (ChargeSort)
ChargeSort uses your device location to show chargers near you and to estimate whether you can reach them. Your location is used on your device for these purposes and is not sent to Cobalt InFX. Map and route features share location with Apple (and, if you choose to navigate, your chosen maps app) as described above. You can control location access at any time in your device settings.
Subscriptions
Where our apps offer subscriptions, they are managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Cobalt InFX does not process payments, store card information, or access your Apple ID credentials.
No selling data
We never sell your data, and we never share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Children's privacy
Cobalt InFX products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
